This forestry video was filmed in Berkshire, Vermont with the help of the Vermont  Department of Forest & Parks. It is educational and entertaining for all ages. It is important to teach our children the true facts about the forest industry. This video shows the cutting down of trees, a skidder pulling the tree out of the woods, sawing the logs into lumber, and sawmill equipment as well as trucks and fork lifts. It also show how nothing goes to waste including debarking the log to make bark mulch, how sawdust is used for bedding animals, and how slabs, edgings or any waste goes to the chipper to make wood chips. It also contains information from the Vermont Department of Forest & Parks on how these products are used. There are so many products we use in our every day lives that come from the trees that we take for granted.
