The Vermont Rainbow Connection is a monthly production of Lavender Visions Productions, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Airing on public access cable channels across Vermont, the show depends on the volunteer efforts and financial support of the community.

Each show begins with Out and About: news and current events with anchors Sharon Randall and Stuart Granoff. This segment includes local and national news of relevance to the LGBT community, action alerts, and an events calendar covering meetings, fundraisers, and other community goings-on. A Public Service Announcement follows on a topic such as HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, families, or homophobia.

During Focus On, Sharon talks with a guest who is contributing positively to the LGBT community and working toward equality.

The show ends with acknowledgement of sponsors, under a soundtrack of "I want you to know who I really am" by Lucie Blue Tremblay. (www.luciebluetremblay.com)

Occasionally, during the Focus On segment, we feature well-done productions (or portions thereof) that fit our mission. In the past, the lineup's included It's Elementary, a Golden Threads documentary, and Homophobia in the Workplace. If you have (or know of) a piece that our Vermont audience should see, please contact us at lavender@together.net.
