Casting Kits

Cylinder Bronze Casting Kit)
Castings (34 single cylinder, 75 twin cylinder) are supplied shot blasted and are not rough ground. The 48 detailed machining prints, 8-1/2 by 14 inches, typically have one part per print. The cored cylinder casting has the valve ports and steam passages cast in place. The crankshaft is of ground steel. Cold rolled steel is used for shafts and pins. The main bearings are babbitted and the others are bronze. All packing materials, taper pins, set screws, piston rings, necessary fasteners and brass lagging is included. Miscellaneous items for successful completion and an assembly manual is provided as well.

Machined kits are supplied with all the castings and parts machined by our shop. It is ready for your assembly and adjustment. The crankshaft is assembled, the babbitt bearings poured and fitted to the crankshaft. All packing materials, taper pins, set screws, piston rings, necessary fasteners and brass lagging is included. Miscellaneous items for successful completion and an assembly manual is provided as well.
